Profile

Julie West is Principal of Workplace Research.  She has more than 25 years experience as a senior organisational psychologist with both the Australian Public Service and private recruitment consultancy firms. Julie has considerable applied experience in a number of areas including senior executive and graduate recruitment, assessment centres, psychological testing and assessment, career transition programs, job analysis, competency development, organisational analysis, organisational restructuring, organisational reviews, program evaluation, survey design and analysis, the assessment of staff attitudes and morale and the design of appraisal and feedback systems.

She has lectured and tutored in psychology in both Australia and the United States and has held academic and research positions. Julie maintains a keen interest in promoting research-led best practice principles in all aspects of her applied work.

Profile

Rachael Eggins is a Registered Psychologist and Senior Consultant with Workplace Research. Rachael has considerable applied experience in a number of areas including graduate recruitment and selection, assessment centres, psychological testing and assessment, career transition programs, job analysis, competency development, survey design and analysis, the assessment of staff attitudes and morale, the development of workplace planning tools, community-based participation and group-based decision-making processes. In a previous academic role in the School of Psychology at the ANU, Rachael co-ordinated and taught undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Organisational Psychology, Psychological Testing and Assessment, and Social Psychology. She has published work in the areas of participatory planning, group decision-making, negotiation and procedural fairness processes in organisational and social settings.

Profile

Janet Tweedie is a Senior Consultant with Workplace Research.  Janet has considerable applied experience in a number of areas including executive and graduate recruitment, assessment centres, psychological testing and assessment, job analysis and design, survey design and analysis, the assessment of staff attitudes and morale and the design of appraisal and feedback systems.

She has previously worked in an academic role as a Research Associate on both large and small Australian Research Council grants for the Australian National University School of Psychology and has lectured and tutored in psychology.

 Ms Claire Petelczyc

Profile

Claire is a Consultant with Workplace Research Associates and an Associate Member of the Australian Psychological Society (AMAPS). She completed a First Class Honours Degree in Psychology at the Australian National University in 2012. Research undertaken by Claire at the University of Nottingham in 2010 was presented at a 2011 Experimental Psychology Society symposium. Claire’s honours thesis on excessive reassurance seeking, and the impact of mood and feedback, has been submitted for publication in an academic journal in 2013. Claire also co-authored a symposium paper to be presented at the 2013 Industrial & Organisational Psychology Conference.

 Dr Hanna Thomas

Hanna Thomas is a Registered Psychologist and Senior Consultant with Workplace Research Associates and in private practice. She has professional experience in the public sector, particularly as a senior psychologist with the Department of Defence. Her experience in organisational psychology includes job analysis, policy review, selection system development and validation, assessment centre design, program evaluation, survey design and analysis, training design and delivery, test administration and interpretation, management and quality control of selection databases, computer-based testing and test development. Hanna has considerable experience working with clients from both the private and public sectors in a variety of contexts and has taught psychology and statistics courses at the undergraduate level. Her research interests include memory, information processing, learning and assessment.

David Burroughs is a Registered Psychologist and Senior Consultant with Workplace Research Associates and in private practice. He has a strong background in Management, Organisational and Clinical Psychology. He has previously worked as a Contract Executive for Morgan & Banks Ltd and as Consultant Psychologist and Manager of Assessments for the Sydney-based Centre for Corporate Health. David has considerable experience in recruitment, survey design and analysis and workforce program development, facilitation and evaluation, change management, workforce profiling as well as vocational and psychological assessment and intervention.
